In just 9 simple steps, your property will be transformed into a lush, beautiful, and low-maintenance lawn. Let’s dive into the process:- Pre-Installation: Time to get your property ready for its new look! We start by removing any existing materials and rough grading the area to uncover anything underneath, like electric wiring and pipes. Our experts make sure to cut and cap the valves to avoid any irrigation issues.
- Weed Prevention: To keep your lawn looking perfect, our specialists apply a weed barrier if sod removal is included in the project. This prevents any unwanted growth from coming up from under the turf.
- Base Preparation: Now it’s time for the base material. Our team installs 2-4 inches of compacted DG for proper drainage and levels it for a smooth appearance.
- Base Compaction: We use vibration to compact the DG, ensuring a sturdy foundation to lay the artificial turf. This also gives us the chance to make any necessary adjustments to the grading and level of the base.
- Laying Turf: Our experts square off the turf for minimal cutting and fitting, then secure the edges with temporary nails.
- Custom Fitting: Time to customize the fit of your new lawn! We over-cut the turf by an inch for tucking, line it up, and install nails every 2-6 inches to secure it in place. Our experts take extra care to avoid any dimples while finishing the nails.
- Tucking – We tuck the edges of the turf against any hardscape or edging border for a clean and plush look!
- Applying Filler: Our team uses a power brush to apply infill evenly throughout the turf. This holds the blades upright and secures the turf to the ground. And don’t worry, the infill is safe for pets and children.
- Final: The last step is a light power brushing to settle the infill into the base of the turf for optimal stability. Voila! A custom artificial grass installation with U.S.-made products.
